In 2018, I was brought on to spearhead the creation of all ancillary content associated with Phenoms, an international sports documentary following rising stars on the road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup™.  FOX's cameras followed these young footballers for over 3 years, traveling to every corner of globe to capture their stories. Our team was tasked with sifting through the footage and distilling each athletes' stories into minute long human dramas that highlight both the personal and universal struggles of these young men in their quests for greatness.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT PROMOS

From Brazil to Barcelona, from Moscow to Montevideo, the Phenoms player promos feature world-class footballers from every corner of the globe. We tried to create timeless shorts that give insight into the mind and heart of the athlete, while celebrating the atmosphere of each locale and the soulful pageantry of the beautiful game.

VERIZON EXTRA TIME BRANDED SPOTS

As the official corporate sponsor of the Phenoms mini-series on FOX, Verizon wanted to created branded entertainment segments to coincide with the primetime airing of the show. This idea manifested itself in the form of "story stretch" pieces that included material that didn't make it into the hour-long episodes.

Our ancillary department was tasked with crafting these segments which would run the entirety of one commercial break during the broadcast of each episode. We decided to brand the segments "Phenoms: Extra Time" and focused on stories that showcased the passion and dedication these athletes have for their sport.

GORDON RAMSEY SOCIAL MEDIA VIDEOS

Executive producer and the voice of the Phenoms, Gordon Ramsey, asked us to create a series of videos that he could share with his millions of followers on social media. The following clips were released to coincide with the premier of each new episode.

Phenoms reach on social media benefitted greatly from our strategic partnership with Gordon Ramsey. Our initial post on Gordon's IG garnered over 100,000 views in the first 24 hours.
